Last week, we finished our term of Mini Sponges Spanish classes before the Summer holidays.

It was a fantastic last lesson, where we learnt all about Spanish food and made our own cakes!

Our ethos with the classes, books and learning tools has always been about making language learning fun and keeping it relevant. A small child’s attention span can be fairly short when introducing a new language so you have to be inventive to keep them interested and engaged.

You can therefore imagine our surprise when we saw that the Guardian online had published our fun lesson ideas in their article on “How to teach languages creatively”
