Yesterday we had a fantastic time at the Duchy Barn in Dedham! We had advertised our story time and European morning, with activities and snacks included. Little did we know that 30 children would turn up! It was so wonderful to see all these excited little people flooding in and listening to stories, repeating the Spanish and French, making wonderful castanets, dancing and tucking into tortilla, olives, brioche and croissants!
It truly feels like parents are encouraging their children to start learning foreign languages earlier and that they are seeing how much their children enjoy it. The age range was from 6 months to 8 years and all seemed to benefit from the experience in one way or another.
Seeing how much the children love these sessions had made us think about doing it more regularly or setting up a Saturday class so watch this space!
